What You’ll Do:
- Provide a variety of exterior services, including but not limited to:
- Lawn mowing and trimming, edging along driveways, sidewalks, and garden beds, lawn fertilization, weed control for lawns and garden beds, spring and fall clean-up of leaves and debris, aeration and dethatching, overseeding or lawn repair, hedge and shrub trimming, small tree pruning, garden bed maintenance such as weeding and re-edging, mulching and soil top-ups, planting of flowers, shrubs, and small trees, yard waste removal, power raking, and blowing off walkways and driveways, hardscaping and paver pads construction.
- Build rapport with clients, making them feel confident in our services.
- Collaborate with our team to uphold our high standards of quality and professionalism.
A Typical Day at Canadiana
As part of our Exterior Services team, you’ll work closely with our Exterior Services Manager. Most days, you’ll service 1–4 properties, with routes designed to minimize travel time thanks to our client clustering. We operate Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM with 8hr work days, and observe all statutory holidays. Once a month, we come together for a team meeting to check in, discuss improvements, and prepare for the week ahead.
Hours per Week:
Start with a minimum of 20 hours per week, with more hours added based on skills, reliability and ability to work independently. Option to stay part time or employed on a casual basis to fit with other employment or personal life.
What You’ll Need:
- A clean criminal record is required.
- A reliable vehicle to get to and from job sites
- If you have a reliable truck capable of hauling equipment, we offer additional pay to reflect that.

Duties
- Perform lawn care and landscape services including mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to ensure healthy and attractive lawns.
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, aerating, and other gardening tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with construction projects related to landscape improvements, including setting up structures or features as needed.
- Identify plant health issues and apply horticultural best practices for pest control or disease management.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge in landscaping, gardening, horticulture, or related fields is an asset but not required.
- Knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscape equipment such as power tools, and hand tools is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy equipment or materials, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license for travel between sites.
