Accounts Receivable Clerk (Maternity Leave Coverage)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dynamic accounting team on a maternity leave contract. This position plays an important role in supporting the financial operations of the organization by ensuring customer payments are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is looking to further develop their accounting and customer relations skills.

Key Responsibilities

Process, reconcile, and record daily transactions and incoming customer payments accurately and efficiently.
Prepare and distribute customer account statements.
Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts in a professional manner.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer account issues.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and files.
Provide administrative and clerical support to the accounting department, including filing and document organization.
Assist with other accounting-related duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or a related administrative role is considered an asset.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proficient in data entry and familiar with basic accounting principles.
Experience in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
