Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Prep Cook, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you’ll be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and quality food preparation. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting while developing essential culinary skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment through thorough washing and sanitizing processes
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning supplies
Support the kitchen team by organizing supplies and ensuring all items are stored properly and safely
Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards and prevent cross-contamination
Help keep the kitchen area tidy by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste regularly
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of food orders and smooth kitchen operations

Skills

Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and maintaining sanitation standards in a busy kitchen environment
Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
Basic understanding of kitchen operations, including food preparation and handling procedures
Ability to follow safety guidelines and adhere to health regulations consistently
