Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in creating high-quality baked goods and preparing ingredients for our restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking, food preparation, and kitchen experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining food safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic food industry environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts with attention to detail and presentation.
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients for daily menu items.
Decorate cakes and desserts using cake decorating techniques to ensure visually appealing products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Package baked goods and desserts for retail or catering purposes, ensuring quality control.
Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Follow recipes accurately and contribute to menu development with creative ideas.
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to promote safety and hygiene.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is highly preferred.
Skilled in cake decorating, baking, and food presentation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
Experience with food preparation, cooking, and packaging in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of kitchen operations within the food industry.
Excellent customer service skills are a plus, especially when interacting with guests or clients.
