At Omni Quality Living, our passion is people. Whether you are connected to us through residency, family, or as a team member, you are the driving force behind our everyday care! We are in search of a Nutritional Care Manager for our Cavan Monaghan, Ontario Location.

The Nutritional Care Manager is responsible to manage all nutritional care staff at our Cobourg location. They are to ensure that the nutritional care department is maintained to warrant compliance with all applicable legislation and oversee the recruitment and training within the department.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide supportive, effective, optimistic leadership to all nutritional care staff.
Ensure that effective management systems (including reporting and internal control) within the nutritional care department are maintained to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, The Fixing Long Term Care Act and corresponding regulations, OMNI standards, policies and procedures.
Ensure appropriate management presence and support are available in the home. Demonstrate commitment to the home and residents by recognizing that hours and days of work may be altered from time to time, based on the needs of the home.
Direct and oversee the appropriate utilization of all resources to ensure appropriate allocation to support required care and services. Develop proposals for the annual operating budget. Ensure the availability of appropriate supplies and equipment required for all scheduled programs at all times.
Recruit, hire, train, promote, monitor and manage nutritional care personnel; evaluate employee performance in accordance with established policy; assist in the training of personnel in other departments.
Ensure that documentation in the clinical record is accurate, current and complete. Ensure that MDS assessments and RAPs are an accurate reflection of the residents and the care that they are provided in the home.
Ensure all nutritional care staff have the regular opportunity to attain and maintain safe food handler training.
Ensure regular presence in all dining areas in the home during each meal service period.

Education

A post-secondary diploma in Food Service and Nutrition Management, from an approved educational institution, OR.
A post-secondary degree in food and nutrition, AND
Proof of membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM).
