Full job description

Overview

We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Painters to join our team. This role involves applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces across residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting, blueprint reading, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Candidates with construction experience and excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects with a focus on quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other equipment.
Perform restoration work on damaged or aged surfaces to restore their appearance and integrity
Utilize rigging and scaffolding safely for high or hard-to-reach areas
Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently for surface preparation and finishing tasks
Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met
Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols throughout all phases of the project

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Proficiency with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns; familiarity with power tools is a plus
Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques including sanding and caulking
Experience with rigging and working at heights using scaffolding or lifts is advantageous
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members
Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction painting environments
