Join the Muskoka Lumber Team as a Mill Worker/Production Labourer!
Muskoka Lumber is a busy lumber yard with on-site milling and finishing operations, proudly supplying high-quality building materials throughout Muskoka and the surrounding areas. We are currently seeking a Mill Worker/Production Labourer to join our Mill at our Port Carling location.This is an entry-level position - no prior milling experience is required. If you enjoy hands-on work, are reliable, and want to learn valuable skills in a production environment, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Mill Worker / Production Labourer, you will support daily mill operations and play an important role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.

Assist with sizing, sorting, and stacking lumber for production

Sticker and prepare lumber for drying

Assist with sawing, dressing, and profiling lumber

Load, unload, and tarp lifts of lumber and finished product

Assist with kiln loading and unloading

Support glue-ups and finishing tasks as required

Handle, pile, and transport materials throughout the mill

Assist machine operators as trained

Assist with preparing loads for trucks

Operate forklifts and other equipment safely (training provided). Equipment may include:Moulder (feed and tail), resaw, sander, ripsaw, end matcher, stickering systems, kiln operations

Perform regular cleanup of work areas, machinery, and equipment

Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures

Participate in required training sessions and toolbox talks

Support other departments or tasks as assigned by Management

Previous experience in a mill, lumber yard, manufacturing, warehouse, or construction environment is an asset

Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job including; lifting, stacking, and material handling (manual labour)

Forklift certification and experience an asset (training available)

Strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and a safety-first mindset

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Basic measuring skills (training provided)

Reliable, punctual, and dependable

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
