Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and assist with a variety of outdoor landscaping projects. This role involves working on-site to maintain and enhance residential and commercial landscapes, ensuring they are healthy, attractive, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess mechanical aptitude, and be eager to contribute to a team focused on quality landscape maintenance and construction.

Duties

Perform landscape maintenance tasks including trimming, planting, and mulching
Operate equipment such as excavators, power tools, and hand tools to complete various landscaping projects
Conduct gardening activities including planting, pruning, and soil preparation
Support construction activities related to landscape features such as patios, walkways, or retaining walls
Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance
Follow safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications

Skills

Experience with excavators, irrigation systems, gardening, and horticulture practices
Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and construction processes
Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of power tools and hand tools
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and operating heavy machinery
Familiarity with using hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and wheelbarrows
Proficiency in using power tools safely for various landscaping tasks
Strong understanding of landscape design principles and horticultural best practices
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to safety and detail
