Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves working on residential and commercial roofing projects, assisting with various construction tasks, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn new skills in the roofing and construction industry. Prior handyman or carpentry experience is a plus, along with familiarity with hand tools and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems on various structures
Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws to perform roofing tasks efficiently
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment necessary for roofing projects
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate project execution
Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing standards are met
Support carpentry tasks related to framing, trimming, or other structural components
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet quality standards

Requirements

Experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, caulking, and general handyman work preferred
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Basic understanding of blueprint reading is advantageous
Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Prior experience in roofing or construction is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Reliable transportation to job sites; ability to work in different locations as needed

Pay: From $36.60 per hour
