Soccer Coach – Be the Inspiration for Young Players!

Do you have a knack for connecting with kids? Is your heart set on teaching soccer and making a real difference in their lives? At Little Kickers Burnaby, we’re excited to offer you the chance to nurture young athletes and ignite their passion for sports. As a Soccer Coach, you'll create a fun, welcoming, and pressure-free space where children from 18 months to 8 years can build their confidence, hone their soccer skills, and discover their love for the game.

This isn’t just a coaching job – it’s a wonderful opportunity to inspire kids, teach them valuable life lessons, and become someone they can look up to. Whether you’re guiding toddlers as they take their first steps into teamwork or helping older kids perfect their soccer techniques, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping how they experience sports. Plus, you’ll have the chance to develop your coaching skills, build meaningful relationships with families, and collaborate with a team that shares your passion for child development and soccer.

Required Qualifications

Experience working with children, preferably in coaching, teaching, or childcare.
A strong passion for soccer and the ability to effectively teach basic soccer skills to children.
Energetic, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality with a love for engaging with kids.
Ability to create a playful, imaginative, and positive learning environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, parents, and teammates.
Physically fit and able to coach soccer activities for 3+ hours at a time.
Organized, reliable, and able to manage class schedules and equipment.
Able to drive and transport soccer gear (gear provided by Little Kickers).
That's a position for Saturday and/or Sunday Mornings as well as some weeknights.

Key Responsibilities

Lead fun and engaging soccer classes tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 18 months to 8 years.
Foster a friendly, pressure-free environment to help children build confidence and enjoy playing soccer.
Teach fundamental soccer skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship through creative games and activities.
Actively engage with children in a playful, imaginative, and enthusiastic manner.
Communicate regularly with parents, providing feedback on their child’s progress.
Set up and pack down all necessary equipment before and after classes.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during sessions.
Represent Little Kickers’ values of positivity, fun, and high-quality instruction.
Collaborate with fellow coaches to continuously improve the class experience.
