Position Overview
The Seasonal Member Services Staff Member plays an important front-line role in supporting members, guests, and visitors within our seasonal campground and cottage community. This position provides administrative, customer service, recreation, and operational support to help ensure a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable environment for all members.
This role requires a friendly, outgoing, and responsible individual who enjoys working with people, can multitask effectively, and is comfortable working independently in a busy seasonal office environment. GREAT ROLE TO GAIN EXPERIENCE PROVIDING GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE TO MEMBERS AND GUESTS
Schedule
- 37.5 hours per week
- Tuesday to Saturday
- Regular hours: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Fridays: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Some flexibility may be required during special events or peak periods.
Key Responsibilities
Member & Office Services
- Respond to member and guest inquiries in person, by phone, and by email
- Provide excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner
- Process member payments and maintain accurate records
- Assist with gate services and visitor access procedures
- Check in visitors and guests entering the park
- Provide directions, information, and assistance at the gate and office
- Support day-to-day office administration and filing
- Answer questions regarding park services, rules, events, and amenities
Facility & Campground Coordination
- Book and coordinate use of common facilities including:
- Recreation Hall
- Community Hall
- Campground accommodations/sites
- Assist with campground operations and general park duties as required
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment
Recreation & Community Support
- Assist with member activities and events including:
- Community BBQs
- Kids’ events and recreation days
- Pancake breakfasts
- Seasonal social activities and gatherings
- Support setup, coordination, and cleanup for events
Communications & Technology
- Assist the Coordinator, Member Services with:
- Website updates
- Social media content and communications
- General member communications
- Use office software and digital systems effectively
Pool & Safety Duties
- Perform routine swimming pool chemical testing and logging
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Follow established safety procedures and park policies
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Comfortable answering phones and interacting with the public
- Strong computer skills, including email and general office software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Friendly, positive, reliable, and professional attitude
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced seasonal environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service, campground, recreation, or office experience is an asset
- Experience handling payments or cash transactions is an asset
- Experience with social media or website updates is beneficial
Working Environment
This position involves a combination of office work and outdoor duties within a seasonal campground and cottage community environment.
