Full job description

Overview

We are Meyer Housewares Canada Inc., a leader of cookware manufacturing in the world, located in Charlottetown, PEI.

The Draw Press Operator’s position is an important part of the process in our production facility. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

Understand the importance of being a positive team player on our Meyer team
An understanding of machine operation with a strong mechanical aptitude
Proficient in the use of fine measuring tools, micrometers, Vernier calipers, depth gauges and dial indicators.
Previous machine operators experience in a mechanical production environment, CNC machining, knowledge or education in CNC machining, previous experience in a mechanical maintenance role
Able to lift up to 50lbs
Able to run multiple processes within one automated production line
Understand the importance of paying close attention to instruction and detail
Understand the importance of taking ownership of the product, productivity and equipment in their department
Want to contribute to the success of the company and actively look for ways to improve
Understand the importance of attendance and punctuality
The successful candidate should be able to work independently and unsupervised
Understand the importance of workplace safety and be mindful of the safety of others
Able to work a rotational shift 40-48 hrs per week Monday to Friday
