Full job description

If you take pride in quality craftsmanship and enjoy seeing your work come together on site, our Carpenter (Internally known as a Carpenter II) position might be the perfect next step in your career. You'll take on a wider range of construction and carpentry responsibilities, guide junior team members, and help ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CARPENTER

As a Carpenter, every day brings new challenges and the chance to create something lasting. You'll be hands-on from start to finish as you frame walls, hang doors, install flooring, and add finishing touches that transform a job site into a completed space. You'll read plans carefully, measure with precision, and make sure every detail meets quality and safety standards. You'll share your knowledge with other crew members, keeping the team aligned and projects running smoothly. Whether you're solving on-site challenges, teaching a new technique, or completing the final trim on a freshly restored room, your craftsmanship and pride in your work will make every project a success.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, carpentry, or restoration
Enrolled in or completion of a carpenter apprenticeship program, an asset
Proven ability to read blueprints and apply construction math for accurate measurements and material planning
Skilled in drywall, framing, finishing, and installation of doors, trim, and cabinetry
Proficient in operating hand and power tools and maintaining a clean, safe job site
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to mentor others
Proficient in using mobile devices and Microsoft Office applications
Valid full class driver's license and clear driver's abstract depending
Fit test and other safety certifications
Must be able to work overtime, on weekends and participate in rotating on-call schedule
Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear
