Indigenous Relations - Business Operation Manager

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid

Annual salary: $ 109,700.00 - 138,700.00

What you'll do

Leads a centralized team of Project Analysts, strengthening consistency, efficiency, and coordinated service delivery

across Indigenous Relations (IR).

Ensures analyst support is aligned with regional priorities, Nation engagement, and operational commitments while

maintaining strong regional connections.

Enables flexible resourcing to balance workloads, address peak in demands, and ensure continuity of service across all

regions.

Drives standardized processes and continuous improvement to enhance operational effectiveness.

Builds and supports a high-performing, inclusive team culture focused on development and engagement.

Connects regional teams and IR leadership to translate strategic direction into coordinated delivery.

Accountable for the IR governance framework, ensuring effective oversight of policies, procedures, and controls that

protect the department and support sound decision-making.

Manage centralized intake, prioritization, and assignment of analyst work based on capacity, urgency, and regional needs.

Ensure consistent support across regions while maintaining strong alignment to regional priorities and relationships.

Ensure analysts remain connected to their regions through ongoing participation in planning, meetings, and engagement

activities.

Allocate resources to respond to workload pressures, emerging issues, and coverage requirements.

Lead the development and refinement of standardized processes, improving efficiency and reducing variation.

Monitor department workload trends and service outcomes to inform decisions and adjustments.

Support and develop team members, fostering a positive, inclusive environment and guiding staff through change.

Collaborate with regional partners and leadership to ensure coordinated, effective delivery.

Manage and uphold the IR governance framework, including policies, procedures, controls, and compliance, and provide

advice to leadership on risks and improvements.

What you bring

Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or in a related discipline.

3 years of experience with workflow management, process coordination, quality assurance, payment and invoice

administration, leveraging systems and technology to deliver consistent, efficient, and compliant service outcomes.

Demonstrated experience as a people leader would be considered an asset.
Understanding of Indigenous community issues and relationships with BC Hydro an asset
Understanding of business systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, etc. and their application to manage processes

efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to manage and refine process delivery and improvements.
