Job Description:

Shipper/Receiver & Assembly Support

Job Responsibilities:

Preparing all packages and palettes for shipments.
Scheduling transport pick ups.
Verifying products being shipped with the packing slips.
Loading and unloading of trucks.
Receiving and organizing all incoming materials / products.
Ensuring the production floor and warehouse are free and clear of all items to ensure a proper working environment and space.
Organizing the shop when time allows.
Maintain a clean work area at all times.
Carries out simple assembly projects in the Coupling Department.
Light-duty general labour work in other departments if there is a period of downtime in Shipping/Receiving and the Couplings Department.
The candidate may be required to work in other positions as production demands justify it. When production requirements warrant it, overtime will be made available on a volunteer basis.

Your Skill Set:

Detail oriented as quality and accuracy standards must be met.
Must have forklift experience and possess current certification which will be renewed at the company’s expense.
Overhead crane experience an asset - we can certify if need be.
First Aid certification is required for this role; the company will provide and cover the cost of training, with an additional $1.00 per hour added to the employee’s wage upon successful certification.
Language Requirement: Must be bilingual in both English and French, oral and written.

Experience:

1-3 years previous work related experience in Shipping/Receiving.
Material Handling: 2 years (required)
Manufacturing/Factory Environment Work: 1-3 years (preferred)

Description de l’emploi :

Le/la candidat(e) retenu(e) assurera principalement l’assemblage léger d’accouplement, de pièces et la découpe de joints, et offrira également un soutien aux activités d’expédition et de réception.

Responsabilités :

Préparation de tous les colis et des palettes pour les expéditions.

Vérification des produits expédiés avec les bons de livraison.
Chargement et déchargement des camions.
Réception et organisation de tous les matériaux / produits entrants.
S’assurer que le plancher de production et l’entrepôt sont dégagés en tout temps afin de garantir un environnement de travail adéquat et sécuritaire.
Organisation de l’atelier lorsque le temps le permet.
Maintenir un espace de travail propre en tout temps.
Effectuer des projets d’assemblage simples au département des accouplements.
Effectuer des travaux généraux légers dans d’autres départements lorsqu’il y a une période d’inactivité en expédition/réception et au département des accouplements.
Le candidat peut être appelé à occuper d’autres postes selon les besoins de production. Lorsque les exigences de production le justifient, des heures supplémentaires seront offertes sur une base volontaire.

Compétences requises :
Grande attention aux détails afin de respecter les normes de qualité et de précision.
Expérience en conduite de chariot élévateur avec certification valide (renouvelée aux frais de l’entreprise).
Expérience avec un pont roulant (atout – formation offerte au besoin).
Une certification en secourisme est requise pour ce poste ; l'entreprise assurera et prendra en charge les frais de formation, et un supplément de 1,00 $ par heure sera ajouté au salaire de l'employé après l'obtention de la certification.
Exigence linguistique : Le candidat doit être bilingue en anglais et en français, à l’oral comme à l’écrit.

Expérience :

Expérience pertinente en expédition/reception: 1 à 3 ans
Manutention de matériaux : 2 ans (requise)
Expérience en milieu manufacturier/usine : 1 à 3 ans (préférée)
