MUSICOTHÉRAPEUTE

Poste permanent à temps partiel, de 3 jours par semaine

Avec nos 23 lits, nous sommes la plus importante résidence indépendante de soins palliatifs au Canada, au service de notre collectivité. Nous prodiguons des soins de fin de vie de qualité aux patients et à leur famille.

Nous sommes à la recherche d’une ou d’un musicothérapeute à temps partiel pour compléter notre équipe.

OBJECTIF DU POSTE :

La ou le musicothérapeute offre du soutien et du réconfort aux patients et aux familles durant leur parcours final par des évaluations et des interventions axées autour de la musique.

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES :

· Évaluer tous les patients à l’aide d’un formulaire écrit, élaborer un plan de thérapie conjointement avec le patient et sa famille.

· Animer des séances avec les patients et les membres de la famille à la demande et en fonction des besoins.

· Collaborer avec l’équipe multidisciplinaire, assister aux rondes et aux réunions multidisciplinaires, consigner les notes d’évolution dans le dossier du patient, évaluer le plan de thérapie et le modifier en conséquence.

· Développer continuellement l’application de la musicothérapie à l’aide de mesures objectives, conformément à une approche fondée sur la recherche et les données probantes.

· Élaborer des programmes qui répondent aux besoins des patients et des familles.

· Participer activement à la supervision de groupes de pairs avec l’équipe des soins de soutien.

· Assurer l’évolution constante du programme de musicothérapie.

· Planifier et animer des groupes et des ateliers de soutien au deuil.

· Représenter la Résidence et le programme de musicothérapie auprès de la communauté élargie par l’entremise de conférences, de séminaires, etc.

COMPÉTENCES GÉNÉRALES :

· Une maîtrise en musicothérapie

· Doit être membre en règle de l’Association canadienne des musicothérapeutes

· Au moins deux années d’expérience à titre de musicothérapeute

· Une expérience dans les soins palliatifs constitue un atout

· Une formation et une expérience dans l’élaboration d’un processus de soins de groupe et dans l’orientation de groupes sur le plan thérapeutique

· D’excellentes aptitudes en communication et habiletés interpersonnelles

· Des compétences organisationnelles exceptionnelles

· La capacité de travailler sous pression et de gérer des priorités concurrentielles

· Bon esprit d’équipe, polyvalence et faculté d’adaptation

· Professionnalisme et maturité

MUSIC THERAPIST

Permanent part-time 3 days per week.

We are the largest free-standing palliative care residence in Canada with 23 beds, serving the needs of our community. We offer quality end-of-life care for patients and their families.

We are looking for someone to join our team to fill the part-time position of Music Therapist.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Music Therapist is responsible for providing reassurance and support to patients and their families on their final journey in life with the use of music-based assessments and interventions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assess all patients in written assessment form, formulate treatment plan with the involvement of the patients and families.

· Conduct sessions with patients and their family members as requested and as needed.

· Work as part of the multidisciplinary team, attend rounds and multidisciplinary meetings, record progress notes in medical charting and evaluate and adjust treatment plan accordingly.

· Continuously develop the application of Music Therapy using objective measures in accordance with research and evidence-based approach.

· Develop programs in accordance with patients and family needs.

· Actively participate in peer group supervision with supportive care team.

· Continuously develop and evolve the Music Therapy program.

· Plan and facilitate bereavement groups and workshops.

· Represent the Residence and the Music Therapy program to the wider community through conferences, seminars, etc.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· Master’s degree in music therapy.

· Must be a member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Music Therapists.

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Music Therapist.

· Previous experience in palliative care, an asset.

· Training and experience in the development of the group care process and in leading groups therapeutically.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

· Team player, flexible and adaptable

· Professionalism and maturity

· Diplomacy and discretion

Pay: $31.00-$50.00 per hour
