Position Summary
GrowLiv Biologicals is seeking an experienced and highly motivated IPM Specialist to support greenhouse growers through technical crop consulting, biological control implementation, pollination support, and integrated pest management solutions.
The successful candidate will work directly with commercial greenhouse operations to:
- Develop IPM strategies
- Support biological control programs
- Promote pollination solutions
- Improve crop health and productivity
- Build strong grower relationships
- Support sales growth through technical expertise

Key Responsibilities Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
- Design and implement greenhouse IPM programs.
- Scout crops regularly for:
- Insects
- Mites
- Diseases
- Nutrient deficiencies
- Physiological disorders
- Establish pest thresholds and action plans.
- Develop preventative biological control strategies.
- Monitor and optimize beneficial insect establishment.
Pollination Program Support
- Support commercial pollination programs using bumblebees and related pollination products.
- Assist growers with:
- Hive placement
- Pollination timing
- Environmental optimization
- Pollinator protection strategies
- Monitor pollination performance and fruit set quality.
- Ensure pesticide compatibility with pollinators.
Technical Sales & Customer Development
- Promote GrowLiv’s biological control, IPM, and pollination products.
- Develop long-term relationships with greenhouse growers and production managers.
- Identify new sales opportunities and customer accounts.
- Conduct product demonstrations and grower trials.
- Assist growers in transitioning toward sustainable biological programs.
Crop Consulting & Diagnostics
- Diagnose greenhouse crop issues quickly and accurately.
- Provide recommendations for:
- Biological control
- Climate management
- Sanitation
- Spray compatibility
- Resistance management
- Support growers during pest outbreaks and crop stress situations.
Reporting & Data Management
- Maintain scouting reports and customer records.
- Analyze pest trends and treatment performance.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations.
- Use greenhouse software and digital scouting systems.
Training & Education
- Train growers and greenhouse staff on:
- Beneficial insect handling
- Scouting techniques
- Pollination management
- Biological control implementation
- Deliver presentations, workshops, and technical seminars.

Qualifications Education
Preferred diploma or degree in:
- Horticulture

Experience
Preferred:
- 2–7+ years greenhouse or agricultural experience.
- Hands-on experience with biological control programs.
- Greenhouse scouting and crop monitoring experience.
- Experience with pollination systems is an asset.
- Technical sales or grower support experience preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
