Job Summary

Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Infirmier Auxiliaire (Auxiliary Nurse), where your compassionate care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will assist registered nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure patients receive respectful, personalized support that promotes their well-being and comfort.

Duties

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
Monitor patient conditions by observing vital signs, reporting changes promptly, and documenting observations accurately.
Assist with medical procedures such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and wound care to support treatment plans.
Support patients with dementia, seniors requiring hospice or palliative care, pediatric patients, or those in assisted living environments with tailored approaches to their unique needs.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring proper disposal of medical waste.
Use electronic health record systems like Epic or Cerner to document patient information efficiently and accurately.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure comprehensive patient support.

Skills

Proven experience working in nursing homes, hospitals, or acute care settings with a strong understanding of medical terminology.
Skilled in patient care techniques including medication administration, laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy, and pain management strategies.
Knowledge of home care practices and experience working with children or seniors enhances your versatility.
Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic health record systems like Epic or Cerner is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate within healthcare teams.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, especially when providing hospice or dementia care.
Strong organizational skills for managing multiple responsibilities in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
