Full job description

Join Our Team!

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our busy spring and suspension repair shop. The successful candidate will primarily perform welding and fabrication work on heavy-duty truck and trailer suspension systems while assisting with mechanical repairs as required.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and stick welding on steel components.
Fabricate, repair, and reinforce heavy truck and trailer components.
Repair and modify suspension systems, frames, hangers, and brackets.
Install and replace leaf springs, suspension components, and related hardware.
Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and measurements.
Safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Assist technicians with heavy truck and trailer repairs when required.
Perform other shop duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous welding and fabrication experience required.
Experience with heavy trucks, trailers, or commercial equipment is considered a strong asset.
Ability to perform MIG welding (stick welding experience is an asset).
Mechanical aptitude with the willingness to assist in truck repairs.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Valid driver's licence preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Frame repair and modification
Heavy-duty truck maintenance
Trailer repairs
Air brake and suspension systems
Plasma cutting, oxy-acetylene cutting, and metal fabrication
