Join our Team at Timberlands Food Store!

Are you dedicated to providing exceptional customer service? Do you have experience with cake decorating? Timberlands Food Store presents the perfect opportunity for you! We're currently looking for a Bakery Clerk to join our dynamic team. The right candidate will have recognized training or a minimum of two years' experience working with all types of dessert cakes, icings and cake decorating techniques.

Central Alberta Co-op is participating in the Alberta Youth Incentive Program which supports hiring youth from the ages 15-24.

Position: Bakery Clerk

Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service

Decorate dessert cakes with expertise
Package and label bakery products for sale
Perform tasks such as cake decorating, slicing bread, frying donuts, utilizing ovens
Assist in production as directed by bakers
Stock shelves and pull freezer products as needed
Assist in setting up products for the following day
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

Recognized training or a minimum of two years' experience working with all types of dessert cakes, icings and cake decorating techniques to operate effectively in the department.
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with the ability to work independently
Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
