Join Our Expanding Team as a Registered Psychologist, Registered Doctoral Psychologist, or Clinical Social Worker
We are seeking a psychologist or clinical social worker with master’s or doctoral-level training to join our team at our new Saskatchewan location. We receive a high volume of requests each month for adult assessment, counselling, and clinical treatment, and full-time work is possible.
You’ll have your own dedicated office space, with input into how it’s furnished to support your work style and clinical needs. Clinicians have flexibility in scheduling, the opportunity to shape their services, and the ability to work with client populations they’re passionate about. Supporting our clinicians is a priority at our clinic, and we believe sustainable, high-quality client care depends on clinicians having their own needs met.
WHO We ARE
At Elements Psychology, we pride ourselves on being an innovative and forward-thinking clinic. Focus on your clients, and we’ll do the rest! This includes providing you with clients, assessment tools, professional office space, and the administrative infrastructure that allows you to hit the ground running… pretty much everything you need to have your own independent practice.
Each clinician on our team is unique, knowledgeable, independent, and driven. Despite our diverse skills and backgrounds, we vibe well together because we all have the same values and goals: to provide compassionate, evidence-based care and have the financial freedom to achieve healthy balance in our lives.
WHO WE’RE Looking FOR
We are looking for ambitious, independent, and forward-thinking clinicians to join our team. You’ll fit right in here if you have the following qualities:
Driven - You love what you do, and you do it well. You work hard to give your clients the support they need and are excited about honing your clinical skills. You aim to have a robust caseload.
Agile - You work well independently and also connect well with others in a team setting.
Self-motivated - You take initiative and are excited to steer your career forward while providing top-notch care.
Problem-solver - You can problem-solve with different clients in different scenarios to ensure you deliver the best therapy or assessment services.
Embrace feedback - Whether consulting with colleagues or dealing with concerned clients, you are open to receiving and integrating feedback into your practice.
Conscientious and detail-orientated - You can maintain accurate client records and documentation, respond promptly to clients, be organized with your caseload, and manage your time effectively.
Clear priorities - Your focus is on delivering an exceptional client experience, maintaining high standards of care, and balancing your personal well-being with the needs of your practice. (We believe that when clinicians take care of themselves, they can care for their clients even better — which is why supporting you is one of our top priorities.)
Self-aware - You understand when you can push yourself and when you need to pull back. You know what you are good at and what you need support with and are not afraid to admit it. You know how to cope with personal stress and will seek help when needed.
Skilled - You have excellent oral and written communication skills, seek ongoing professional development, use ethical decision-making, and are interested in providing services based on your strengths and areas of expertise.
Fun - you take your client's care seriously but don’t want to take life too seriously. Between a busy schedule of serving clients, you are interested in cracking a few jokes and meeting up for the occasional team celebration.
WHAT YOU have to OFFER!
Education: Minimum of a Master’s degree with competency in clinical or counselling psychology or clinical social work.
Experience - Previous related work experience and ability to practice independently.
Professional Registration/License: Registered with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists of Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers
Telehealth Ready - Comfort in providing telehealth services or a willingness to learn. You determine the amount of telehealth offerings.
Knowledgeable - Extensive knowledge of human development and psychopathology. Ability to evaluate what assessment measures are evidenced-based. Experience providing interventions that are empirically validated and supported by best practice literature.
Ethical - You have a solid understanding of professional ethics and practice guidelines, and you can thoughtfully defend your clinical decisions and services. You’re committed to ethical decision-making and recognize the value of consultation when navigating complex or uncertain situations.
Genuine - Ability to develop trusting relationships with clients where they become active participants in determining the goals of assessment and therapy.
Cultural Sensitivity - Sensitivity and humility when working with culturally, racially, sexually and gender-diverse clients.
Collaborative - You have experience working closely with other mental health professionals and understand the value of teamwork in supporting client care.
Clean Record - A squeaky-clean criminal record /vulnerable sector check.
Supervision - Experience providing supervision is an asset, with additional compensation provided for this service.
