The Opportunity

We are seeking a bilingual Vehicle Maintenance Technician (VMT) to join our team in our Calgary or Montreal (office based or remote).

Position Description

Reporting to the Supervisor, Vehicle Maintenance Technician, you will have a multifaceted role within your job function. Your main role is to accept inbound calls for the purpose of managing the maintenance requirements as requested by vendors on behalf of our clients and their drivers. Your focus is on the ongoing safe operation of our client’s vehicles coupled with a common sense approach to the effective management of their maintenance expenditures.

Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities

· Manage inbound calls from Customer Drivers & Vendors

· Issue Purchase Orders for transactions above the customer’s card limit

· Ensure authorized repairs are required for continued safe use and are priced in accordance with a recognized pricing guide

· Ensure all Purchase Orders are entered accurately in the system for effective record-keeping and historical reference

· Work on other special projects as designated by Management

· Process maintenance/repair invoices

· Support customer-facing teams as a subject matter expert (automotive mechanical)

· Manage vendor relations effectively and escalate any issues

· Follow up on billing inquiries made by suppliers

Key Attributes and Skills

The VMT role is vital to our success as we continue to be a Best in Class service provider in our target market. This is a customer, driver and field support position whereby the individual in this role must possess the following attributes:

· Bilingual (French/English)

· Valid automobile provincial technician license is an asset

· Experience in medium and heavy-duty truck repair is an asset

· Strong automotive mechanical knowledge

· Strong administration and interpersonal skills

· Team Player with a “How Can I Help” attitude

· Positive, Enthusiastic, and Customer Focused

· Excellent Time Management Skills

· Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

· Good working knowledge of 3rd party automotive service guides (Chilton, Motors, Mitchell, All Data) is an asset

· Strong communicator with superior phone mannerisms

· Good typing skills

· Exceptional negotiations skills

· Experience in a call center environment is an asset

· Problem-solving and analytical skills

Nous recherchons un(e) technicien(ne) bilingue en entretien de véhicules (VMT) pour rejoindre notre équipe dans notre bureau de Calgary or Montréal (en bureau ou à distance).

Description du posteRelevant du Superviseur, Technicien en Entretien de Véhicules, vous jouerez un rôle multifonctionnel dans l'exercice de vos tâches. Votre principale mission sera de recevoir des appels entrants pour gérer les besoins d’entretien demandés par les fournisseurs au nom de nos clients et de leurs conducteurs. Vous vous concentrerez sur l’utilisation sécuritaire continue des véhicules de nos clients, tout en gérant de manière judicieuse leurs dépenses d'entretien.

Voici quelques domaines de responsabilité

· Gérer les appels entrants des conducteurs et des fournisseurs

· Émettre des bons de commande pour les transactions dépassant la limite de la carte du client

· S'assurer que les réparations autorisées sont nécessaires pour l'utilisation sécuritaire et sont tarifées conformément à un guide de tarification reconnu

· Saisir correctement tous les bons de commande dans le système pour une tenue de dossiers efficace et un historique de référence

· Travailler sur d'autres projets spéciaux désignés par la direction

· Traiter les factures d'entretien/réparation

· Soutenir les équipes en contact avec les clients en tant qu’expert en la matière (mécanique automobile)

· Gérer efficacement les relations avec les fournisseurs et signaler tout problème

· Effectuer le suivi des demandes de facturation des fournisseurs

Vos qualifications

Le rôle de VMT est essentiel à notre succès en tant que fournisseur de services de classe mondiale sur notre marché cible. Ce poste de support aux clients, conducteurs et équipes sur le terrain exige les qualités suivantes :

· Bilingue (français/anglais)

· Un permis de technicien automobile provincial valide est un atout

· Expérience en réparation de camions moyens et lourds est un atout

· Solides connaissances en mécanique automobile

· Compétences administratives et interpersonnelles fortes

· Joueur d’équipe avec une attitude de « Comment puis-je aider ? »

· Positif(ve), enthousiaste et orienté(e) vers le client

· Excellentes compétences en gestion du temps

· Solides compétences en informatique avec une connaissance des programmes Microsoft Office

· Bonne connaissance des guides de service automobile tiers (Chilton, Motors, Mitchell, All Data) est un atout

· Excellentes compétences en communication avec de bonnes manières au téléphone

· Bonne vitesse de frappe
