Full job description

Adecco is currently hiring a Human Resources Specialist for a full-time, 12-month temporary opportunity that can be performed remotely from anywhere in Canada. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional with a strong understanding of employment policies, compensation, job classification, and regulatory compliance.
In this position, you will support a broad range of human resources and organizational development activities, including advising managers and employees, evaluating job classifications, supporting compensation programs, maintaining HR documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable employment policies and procedures.

Pay Rate: $32.00 per hour
Location: Remote | Canada
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary
Contract Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities

Advise managers and employees on applicable employment regulations, collective agreements, benefits and compensation policies, personnel procedures, and classification programs.
Evaluate job positions to determine appropriate classifications, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary levels.
Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of personnel records, policies, and employee handbooks.
Prepare organizational reports, flow charts, career path reports, and other documentation related to job analysis and evaluation.
Compile and present compensation analysis information to support HR and organizational decision-making.
Support employee compensation, recruitment policies, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance activities.
Assist with organizational development initiatives and the effective administration of human resources programs.
Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding established HR policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate and organized HR documentation and records.
Support compliance with applicable legal policies and procedures related to employment and hiring practices.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support effective human resources operations and organizational objectives.

Requirements

Must be eligible to work and reside in Canada.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 to 4 years of related human resources experience.
Must have at least 1 year of working knowledge and hands-on experience with ADP GlobalView.
Workday HCM experience is considered a secondary asset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities in a remote environment.
Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring and employment practices, including equal employment opportunity and affirmative action.
Knowledge of employee benefits and pay-scale systems.
Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive HR information professionally and confidentially.
