Location: GTA / Remote
Position: Freelance, Part-Time
Industry: Aviation, Travel, Technology & Travel Retail

PAX International and PAX Tech, established international publications serving the aviation, travel, technology and travel retail industries, are looking for an experienced Freelance Part-Time Graphic Designer to join our team.

We are looking for a creative and highly organized designer with strong print, digital publishing, website and social media experience who can work on magazine layouts, advertising, marketing materials and digital content.

Key Responsibilities

Design and produce pages for PAX International and PAX Tech magazines.
Create professional and visually engaging magazine layouts.
Design full-page, double-page and half-page advertisements.
Design promotional materials for advertisers, airlines, airports and technology companies.
Create marketing presentations, media kits, sponsorship proposals and sales materials.
Design website graphics, banners, landing-page graphics and other online promotional materials.
Assist with the visual design and updating of PAX websites.
Create graphics and content for social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Adapt magazine and editorial content for digital and social media use.
Develop creative materials for the PAX International Readership Awards and other PAX events.
Create logos, award graphics, promotional campaigns and special editorial features.
Prepare files correctly for professional printing and digital publication.
Work with the editorial and sales teams to meet publication and advertising deadlines.
Work closely with the Publisher, Managing Editor and Business Development team.
Make revisions and adapt designs based on client and editorial requirements.
Maintain consistency with PAX International and PAX Tech branding.

Requirements

Strong experience in magazine, publishing or editorial graphic design.
Excellent knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Good understanding of website design and digital publishing.
Knowledge of website content management systems such as WordPress would be an advantage.
Good knowledge of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Understanding of social media image sizes, formats and creative requirements.
Strong understanding of typography, page layout, image preparation and print production.
Experience designing advertisements and marketing materials.
Ability to create professional designs from supplied text and images.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
Strong communication skills.
Experience with aviation, travel, luxury, business or B2B publications would be an advantage.
