Full job description

Bilingual Proofreader (Financial Services)

Use your bilingual fluency in English and French to ensure clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate translations in the insurance and wealth management sector. Hybrid role focused on proofreading, editing, and maintaining linguistic quality across marketing content.

· Hourly salary of $29-31, based on experience.

· 6-month contract.

· Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.

· Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.

· Hybrid work: in-office Tuesday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:

· Proofread and edit French translations for grammar, spelling, tone, and consistency.

· Ensure all content aligns with corporate messaging, brand standards, and financial industry language.

· Adapt language appropriately for the Quebec market.

· Collaborate with writers, marketers, and translators to enhance clarity and style.

· Maintain French language resources such as glossaries and style guides.

· Review web content translations for SEO integrity and intent.

· Work with the analytics team to refine terminology.

What you will need to succeed:

· Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

· Bilingual in French and English to accurately review, edit, and ensure high-quality translations from English to French that are linguistically and culturally appropriate for Québec audiences.

· Experience proofreading and editing French translations in a professional setting.

· Excellent grammar, spelling, and linguistic skills in French.

· Strong organizational and time management abilities.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

· Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience in the financial or wealth management industry strongly preferred.
