We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and flexible Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing therapy team. This role is ideal for an SLP who enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative and supportive team environment. The successful candidate will provide primarily pediatric speech and language services through a combination of remote/virtual therapy and in-person visits within homes, daycares, and schools throughout the city and surrounding communities.

There are also optional opportunities to travel to Northern communities and work alongside diverse populations, including Indigenous and underserved communities, in culturally responsive and community-centered practice settings.

Responsibilities
- Assess children’s speech, language, social communication, fluency, voice, and early literacy skills through formal and informal evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized, family-centered treatment plans tailored to each child’s strengths, needs, and goals.
- Provide therapy services in a variety of settings including:
- Client homes
- Daycares and preschools
- Schools
- Virtual/teletherapy platforms
- Collaborate with families, educators, physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to support coordinated care.
- Support caregivers and educators through coaching, education, and practical strategies that can be implemented in everyday routines.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress reports, and session notes in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
- Manage scheduling and caseload organization independently while maintaining strong communication with the administrative and clinical team.
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of children from diverse cultural, linguistic, and developmental backgrounds.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing learning initiatives.
- Optional opportunities to travel to Northern and rural communities to provide assessment and intervention services to diverse populations with varying levels of service access.
- Opportunities for co-treats with occupational therapists, early childhood intervention workers, and participate in multidisciplinary assessments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with CSASK.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is highly preferred.
- Experience providing services in homes, schools, daycares, or community settings is an asset.
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible mobile caseload.
- Cultural sensitivity and a willingness to learn from and work alongside diverse communities.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for community-based travel.
- Interest in Northern outreach work and travel opportunities is considered an asset.
