Full job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Virtual Family Medicine Physician to join our virtual health clinic in Ontario. As a Physician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients of all ages through virtual platforms. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients by delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care and promoting health and wellness.

Responsibilities:

Conduct virtual consultations with patients of all ages to assess their healthcare needs, provide diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, specialists, and pharmacists, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Perform physical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as necessary.
Provide education and counselling to patients and their families on various healthcare topics, including disease prevention, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records to ensure continuity of care and facilitate effective communication with the healthcare team.
Stay current with advancements in telehealth technology and virtual care practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of patient consultations.
Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of medical practice, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school.
Board certification in Family Medicine by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and active CPSO license.
Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Ontario, Canada.
Proficiency in using telemedicine platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients remotely.
Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills, with a commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs, including evening and weekend hours as required.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
