Job Summary

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Dishwasher/Kitchen Hand, where your energy and attention to cleanliness will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. This vital role ensures that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are spotless, allowing our culinary team to focus on creating memorable dining experiences. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in maintaining high standards of hygiene and organization, this position is perfect for you! You will play a key part in supporting food preparation, food handling, and overall food service operations, contributing to the seamless flow of our busy kitchen. Paid positions are available, offering an engaging opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste appropriately.
Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and sanitation protocols.
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by organizing supplies and managing dishware flow.
Restock cleaning supplies and ensure dishwashing stations are well-maintained throughout shifts.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food handling and basic food preparation skills.
Experience in cleaning or maintaining cleanliness in a commercial environment is beneficial.
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures is a plus.
Hospitality or hotel experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
