The Victorian Boutique Hotel.

Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, discover the Victorian Hotel-a newly renovated boutique-style property housed in a beautiful brick Victorian-era building dating back to 1898. 42 beautifully appointed guest rooms designed to create a truly alternative hotel experience.

The location is at the nexus of distinct neighborhoods. Historic Gastown, Yaletown, and the Convention Centre are all within walking distance. The Robson Street shopping district and the Granville entertainment sector are also just minutes away.

The hotel was recently awarded the National Geographic (Historic Hotel) category in Vancouver, nominated with Condé Nast and TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice top 10% hotel listings.

The Victorian, a 42-room boutique-style hotel property, is actively looking for an individual to join our team as a Front Desk Agent.

The Front Desk Agent serves as the primary liaison between guests and the hotel. Our Agents manage the guest experience from arrival to departure by processing check-ins and check-outs, handling room reservations, managing payments, addressing complaints, and coordinating with the housekeeping and maintenance team to ensure seamless operation.

A successful Front Desk Agent will be comfortable operating computers and with guest interactions.

Responsibilities

Ensures that all guests are made to feel welcome upon arrival and departure.
Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner during all interactions.
Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
Provide a high level of customer service to ensure Guest Satisfaction
Process check-ins and check-outs.
Daily room assignment for housekeepers.
Ensures that the Front Desk and lobby are clean and organized.
Assist guests with parking arrangements.
Assist guests/recommendations/booking of tourist attractions.
Ensure that any special billing instructions are noted and passed on to the accounting/front desk team promptly and accurately.
Answer and respond to reservation emails/calls and guest room calls.
Experience using a hotel reservation/booking system, an asset.
Assist with daily room inspections as required.
Demonstrated strong communication skills are essential.
Detail-oriented, organizational skills, and able to handle competing priorities.
Monitor and take action required with the fire and safety system/security requirements.
Strong knowledge of MS Office/ OTA. PMS.
Assist with OTA reservations.
Demonstrates strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities with attention to detail.
Ability to take ownership of duties and show initiative.

The position available required availibity for the commencement of shifts at 7 am.
