Summary

We are seeking a Junior Lawyer to join our team in Canada. This role is vital in supporting our legal needs, ensuring compliance, and contributing to our commitment to outstanding service. The position is based in our local office and offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a reputable company.
Responsibilities

Conduct legal research and analyze relevant laws and regulations.
Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
Assist in negotiation processes with clients and vendors.
Assist with risk management, insurance claims, and dispute resolution.
Case preparation and documentation.
Ensure company compliance with applicable laws and standards.
Maintain organized legal files and records.
Collaborate with various departments to address legal issues.
Stay updated on industry-specific legal developments.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of legal practice experience.
Minimum 2 years of civil litigation experience.
Expected to make court appearances as part of the role.
Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent qualification.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
Ability to draft clear and precise legal documents.
Experience or familiarity with negotiation processes.
Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Prior internship or entry-level experience in a legal setting is preferred.
