Full job description

Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior candidate looking to build practical legal experience in a respected boutique law-firm environment. You will work closely with the lawyer and clients to gain hands-on exposure to a variety of legal files, with a strong emphasis on corporate work.

Duties

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Law Support

Draft memos, correspondence and standard legal documents such as demand letters, share purchase agreements, service agreements, and other contracts.
Support in preparation of corporate documents, resolutions, and minute book materials
Assist with incorporations, annual filings, and corporate record maintenance
Organize client records and supporting documentation

General Legal Support

Provide assistance on files in other practice areas as required
Open, maintain, and organize client files
Track deadlines and follow-ups
Communicate with clients, third parties, and service providers
General administrative support to lawyers and the office

Qualifications

Law Clerk diploma or Legal Assistant education preferred
2 years of relevant experience preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Professional written and verbal communication
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Comfortable with Microsoft Office, PDF software, and legal systems
