Full job description

Sous la responsabilité du directeur général, le/la candidat(e) sera chargé(e) des tâches suivantes :

Rôle

· Superviser tous les éléments des opérations quotidiennes en mettant l'accent sur l'efficacité et les objectifs de service.

· Diriger le personnel et les chauffeurs.

· Soutenir le personnel dans le changement tout en continuant à accroître l'engagement des employés.

· Établir des relations solides et de confiance avec divers clients, en veillant au respect des contrats et en répondant de manière proactive aux préoccupations ou aux problèmes et y apportant des solutions.

· Prendre les mesures appropriées pour atteindre et dépasser les objectifs fixés.

· En collégialité avec le directeur général, mettre en place des indicateurs de performance et en assurer les résultats et-ou l’amélioration.

· Évaluer la performance dans son ensemble en recueillant, en analysant et en interprétant les données.

· Capacité à résoudre des problèmes de manière indépendante, tout en faisant preuve de discernement pour demander des conseils et des avis, le cas échéant, afin de résoudre des problèmes complexes.

· Capacité à travailler de manière autonome, sous pression et à s'adapter à des priorités et des délais en constante évolution.

· De fortes compétences en matière de leadership, axées sur les résultats et le travail d'équipe, avec une orientation vers le service à la clientèle.

· Veiller à ce que l'équité et la santé et la sécurité au travail soient au premier plan.

· Réviser et contrôler les coûts.

· Veiller à ce que des normes de productivité élevées soient respectées.

· Soutenir et encourager l'amélioration continue.

Compétences recherchées

· Avoir de bonnes compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes, d’analyse et être reconnu pour son efficacité dans les opérations.

· Bonne communication orale et écrite.

· Bonne connaissance de l'AS400, du PC Miller et de la série Windows Office.

· Leadership.

Exigences

· Diplôme universitaire ou équivalent.

· 10 à 15 ans d'expérience en gestion des opérations dans l’industrie de transport.

· De fortes aptitudes à la communication, à la négociation et à la gestion du changement.

· Capacité à assurer un suivi adéquat.

Reporting to the General Manager, the candidate will be responsible for the following:

Role

- Oversee all areas of day-to-day operations with a focus on efficiency and service goals.

- Provide leadership to staff and drivers.

- Support staff through change while continuing to increase employee engagement.

- Build deep and trust relationships with a variety of clients and customers, ensuring contractual compliance and proactively responding to and resolving concerns or issues.

- Take appropriate action to meet and exceed established targets.

- Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data.

- Ability to resolve matters independently, while using appropriate judgment to seek guidance and counsel as required to navigate complex matters.

- Ability to work independently, under pressure and adapt to evolving priorities and timelines.

- Strong leadership skills focused on results and teamwork, with a client service orientation.

- Ensure Equity and Occupational Health and Safety are at the forefront.

- Ensuring compliance with managing staff and company policies and regulations.

- Review and control costs.

- Ensure high productivity standards are met.

- Support and promote continuous improvement.

Desired skills

- Good problem solving and analytic skills and be recognized as being efficient in the operations.

- Good oral and written communication.

- Good knowledge of AS400, PC Miller and Windows Office series.

- Proven team leadership.

Requirements

- University degree or equivalent.

- 10 to 15 years of experience in operational leadership roles in the transportation field.

- Strong communication, negotiation and change management skills.

- Ability to ensure proper monitoring.
