Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Bartender to join our team at a casual fine-dining Italian restaurant where exceptional food, creative cocktails and genuine hospitality come together to create a memorable guest experience.

Our ideal candidate has a genuine passion for the craft of cocktail making, with the knowledge, creativity and attention to detail to confidently execute everything from timeless classics to intricate, thoughtfully designed signature cocktails. A strong understanding of spirits, ingredients, flavour profiles, techniques and presentation is essential, along with the ability to consistently produce exceptional drinks during a busy service.

Beyond making great cocktails, our Bartenders are an important part of the overall dining experience. We’re looking for someone who is personable, engaging and attentive, with the ability to provide polished service while maintaining the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that defines casual fine dining. Knowledge of wine and the ability to make recommendations is an asset, but cocktail knowledge and execution are at the heart of this role.

You’ll help ensure the bar runs smoothly throughout service, maintain high standards for quality, presentation and consistency, and keep the bar organized, stocked and ready for service. You’ll work closely with both the bar and restaurant teams while bringing creativity, professionalism and positive energy to every shift.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality craft cocktails with a strong focus on consistency, flavour, presentation and attention to detail.
Confidently execute a range of cocktails, from classics to intricate signature creations using a variety of spirits, fresh ingredients and techniques.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, bitters, modifiers, garnishes and cocktail preparation methods.
Provide knowledgeable and engaging recommendations based on guests’ tastes and preferences.
Deliver polished, attentive and personable service while maintaining the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of casual fine dining.
Maintain consistency by following established recipes, measurements, preparation techniques and presentation standards.
Prepare house-made cocktail components including syrups, infusions, garnishes, juices and other specialty ingredients.
Complete daily bar prep and ensure the bar is fully stocked, organized and ready for service.
Maintain a clean, organized and visually appealing bar throughout each shift.
Monitor liquor, beer, wine and bar supply inventory and communicate ordering or restocking needs.
Follow proper product rotation, storage and inventory-control procedures while helping minimize waste.
Maintain a working knowledge of the restaurant’s food, wine and beverage menus and confidently answer guest questions.
Work closely with servers, kitchen staff and fellow bartenders to ensure smooth, efficient and timely service.
Accurately enter orders, process payments and maintain proper cash-handling procedures.
Follow all responsible alcohol-service requirements, including monitoring guest consumption and verifying identification when required.
Maintain all required cleanliness, sanitation, food-safety and workplace health and safety standards.
Complete opening, closing and side duties thoroughly and efficiently.
Contribute ideas for new cocktails, seasonal features and creative beverage offerings.
Bring professionalism, reliability and positive energy to every shift while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of bartending experience.
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, mixology, beer, wine, and spirits.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Certification in Smart Serve
