About the role:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Process Maintenance, the Pipefitter is responsible for installing and maintaining piping systems at our Greenhills Operation.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Elkford, B.C is necessary.
In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Fabricate and install piping arrangements for slurry, water, and refuse lines ranging from 2" to 36"
- Diagnose piping system failures in the processing facility
- Disassemble and reassemble system components
- Weld, cement, and thread joints to join pipes using soldering and welding equipment
- Maintain, create and record work order records
- In certain components of this role, it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal.
Requirements:
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Pipefitter certification
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Small Water and Small Wastewater systems ticket would be an asset
- Valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of basic computer systems (Microsoft Office®)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to work cross functionally between trades
- Experience in a mining environment is an asset
