Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid background in custodial and facilities maintenance. This role involves supervising cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. A background in commercial cleaning, familiarity with power tools and hand tools, and effective time management are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of equipment including power tools and hand tools.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
Manage scheduling to ensure adequate staffing coverage for shifts, including heavy lifting tasks as needed.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; coordinate repairs or maintenance of facilities as necessary.
Communicate effectively with staff, management, and clients to address concerns or special requests.
Implement procedures for efficient cleaning operations while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist with facilities maintenance tasks when required, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.

Experience

Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is required; supervisory experience is highly preferred.
Familiarity with the use of power tools, hand tools, and custodial equipment is essential.
Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service skills to address client needs professionally.
Experience in facilities maintenance or related fields is a plus.
Excellent communication skills for team leadership and coordination efforts.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with custodial work. Pay: $16.25-$17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
