Raison d’être du poste

Le ou la machiniste a pour mission principale de fabriquer des éprouvettes de traction destinées à supporter les opérations de production internes. Il/elle assure l’usinage de précision en utilisant à la fois des équipements conventionnels (tours et fraiseuses manuels) et des machines CNC, selon les spécifications techniques fournies. Ce poste est essentiel pour garantir la qualité, la fiabilité et la conformité des matériaux testés, tout en soutenant les délais et les exigences de la production.

Responsabilités

Lire et interpréter les plans techniques, dessins et devis;
Planifier les séquences d’usinage et choisir les outils et les paramètres adaptés;
Régler, opérer et surveiller des machines-outils conventionnelles et CNC (tournage et fraisage);
Usiner avec précision des pièces selon les tolérances requises;
Effectuer les ajustements requis en cours de production pour corriger les écarts;
Maintenir un environnement de travail propre, sécuritaire et conforme aux normes en vigueur;
Collaborer avec les équipes de production, d’ingénierie et de qualité;
Toutes autres taches connexe relié au poste.

Exigences d’emploi

Scolarité requise

Diplôme d’études professionnelles (DEP) en technique d’usinage, en mécanique industrielle ou domaine connexe.

Compétences techniques

Minimum de 2 ans d'expérience en usinage sur machines à commande numérique (CNC);
Expérience en réglage (« setup ») et opération de centres d'usinage CNC ou de tours CNC;
L'expérience sur machines conventionnelles constitue un atout;
Excellente maîtrise de l’usinage;
Capacité à effectuer les montages (« setup »), les changements d'outils et les ajustements de paramètres;
Lecture de plans techniques et compréhension des tolérances;
Bonne connaissance des matériaux usuels (acier, aluminium, inox, etc.);
Capacité à utiliser des instruments de mesure de précision;
Aptitude à suivre des instructions techniques et procédures de contrôle qualité;
Connaissance de logiciels d’usinage ou interface machine CNC.
Excellente maîtrise du français (oral et écrit).

Purpose of the position

The machinist’s main mission is to manufacture tensile test specimens intended to support internal production operations. He/she ensures precision machining using both conventional equipment (manual lathes and milling machines) and CNC machines, according to provided technical specifications.

This role is essential to ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of tested materials, while supporting production timelines and requirements.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
Plan machining sequences and select appropriate tools and parameters
Set up, operate, and monitor conventional and CNC machine tools (turning and milling)
Machine parts with precision according to required tolerances
Make necessary adjustments during production to correct deviations
Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with applicable standards
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams
Perform any other related duties

Job requirementsEducation

Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in machining, industrial mechanics, or a related field

Technical skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines;
Experience performing machine setup and operating CNC machining centers and/or CNC lathes;
Experience with conventional machining equipment is considered an asset;
Strong machining skills and knowledge of machining processes;
Ability to perform machine setups, tool changes, and machining parameter adjustments.
Excellent machining skills;
Reading technical plans and understanding tolerances;
Good knowledge of common materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.);
Ability to use precision measuring instruments;
Ability to follow technical instructions and quality control procedures;
Knowledge of CNC machining software or machine interface;
Excellent proficiency in French (spoken and written).
