We are looking for Carpenters and Carpenter Apprentices who have the knowledge and ability to work on commercial projects by self-performing diverse scopes, working within a dynamic team, and growing your overall skillset.
Our upcoming projects are located in the Lower Mainland and Fort Nelson, British Columbia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform rough and finish carpentry work independently
- Help erect, level, and install building framework with rigging hardware and cranes
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Inspect and replace damaged framework and other structures and fixtures
- Work safely and follow Keller and client safety requirements and procedures
- Complete layout for walls, floors, and structural components
- Construct and install formwork, framing, blocking, and backing
- Install doors, frames, hardware, millwork, and finishes
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and mobile equipment safely
- Ensure work meets quality standards and tolerances
- Coordinate tasks with Foreman and other trades
- Mentor and provide direction to apprentice carpenters
- Assist with material planning and site logistics
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Identify and communicate project risks or deficiencies
- Follow project schedules and productivity targets
- Perform general labour and carpentry-related tasks associated with skill level
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Canadian Journeyman Carpenter Certificate, or equivalent experience
- 2-4+ years’ demonstrable work experience in commercial construction
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
- Ability to travel to project locations in British Columbia
- Current EWP, Fall Arrest, First Aid Tickets are assets
- Competent operating mobile equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Valid driver’s license
