Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and attentive Front Store Clerk to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while supporting pharmacy operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, managing medication supplies, and ensuring smooth store functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your attention to detail and compassionate approach make a real difference in patient experiences.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing friendly and professional assistance at the store front.
You will also take care of medical supply orders and customer needs, including: Incontinence products, Ostomy supplies, other home health / medical supplies as carried by the pharmacy, etc.
Taking orders, checking stock, placing or receiving orders, and preparing items for pickup or delivery as directed
Support pharmacy technicians by managing medication inventory, restocking shelves, and organizing supplies efficiently.
Assist with patient care activities, including verifying prescriptions and providing basic information about medications under supervision.
Handle cash register transactions accurately, process payments, and issue receipts promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized store environment, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
Use medical terminology correctly when communicating with staff and patients to ensure clarity and professionalism.
Support medication administration processes by preparing medications for dispensing as directed by licensed staff.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication management practices.
Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care with excellent communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus but not mandatory.

Hours of operation: Rockland Pharmacy is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm ONLY. You will not have to work evenings, weekends, or holidays unless we are behind and need extra hours to meet deadlines.
