Full job description

Our Clean Harbors team in Sarnia, ON is looking for a DZ/AZ Chemical Cleaning Operator to join their safety conscious team! The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of units such as Vacuum Trucks and High Pressure Equipment to perform chemical cleaning at various client sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
Driving, operating, and maintaining chemical cleaning units;
Transferring fluid using skid and transfer pumps;
Operating, loading and unloading the units ( ie Hot Oilers, Water, Vac Trucks);
Rigging the equipment and hoses in and out;
Blending chemicals into the circulating units;
Completing electronic pre and post trip inspections, field level risk assessments and other related paperwork;
Comfortable working in a labor-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions;
Performing general shop duties and laborer tasks as required.
Previous commercial driving experience required;
Previous chemical cleaning experience is required;
Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time;
Willingness to travel 50% of the time, up to 5-10 days away from home at a time.
Must hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO certificates ( training available).

QUALIFICATIONS

Class DZ Driver’s License required, AZ considered as well;
Previous commercial driving experience required;
Previous chemical cleaning experience is required;
Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time;
Willingness to travel 50% of the time, up to 5-10 days away from home at a time.
Must hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO certificates ( training available).
