Full job description

Financial Management & Reporting

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
Analyze financial results and provide meaningful insights to management.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
Monitor key performance indicators across hotel, golf, spa, and food & beverage operations.

Accounting Operations

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, revenue accounting, and general ledger functions.
Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and bank accounts.
Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
Support external audit and tax compliance processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Resort Operations Support

Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and operational efficiencies.
Monitor revenues and expenses across hotel, golf, spa, retail, and food & beverage departments.
Assist department managers with budgeting, financial analysis, and decision-making.

Leadership & Team Development

Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the accounting and finance team.
Foster a collaborative, service-oriented, and high-performance culture.
Assist with recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning initiatives.
Promote continuous improvement and process enhancement within the finance department.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
Experience in hospitality, hotel, resort, golf, gaming, or service-based industries is considered a strong asset.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and accounting systems.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic resort environment.

Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
