We are seeking a highly analytical and curious individual to join the Registrar’s Office as our Strategic Enrolment Intelligence Analyst to cover maternity leave.
In this role, you will serve as a key institutional resource for strategic enrolment intelligence, providing advanced statistical analysis, business intelligence, and research expertise to support university planning and decision-making. You will analyze complex data related to student recruitment, admissions, retention, enrolment, progression, graduation, scheduling, and student success, helping the university better understand trends, opportunities, and emerging challenges.
Using data from multiple institutional and external sources, you will develop reports, dashboards, forecasts, and research studies that support executive leadership, faculties, committees, and administrative units. You will also lead environmental scans, benchmarking studies, and analytical projects that inform strategic enrolment management, academic planning, and institutional priorities.

What You’ll Do:
Lead Strategic Research and Statistical Analysis
- Conduct advanced statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and factors influencing student recruitment, retention, enrolment, progression, and graduation outcomes.
- Apply quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to support strategic enrolment management, academic planning, and student success initiatives.
- Develop forecasts, predictive analyses, and scenario modelling to support institutional planning and decision-making.
- Conduct environmental scans, benchmarking studies, and demographic analyses using institutional, provincial, national, and sector-wide data sources.
- Translate complex data and research findings into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Develop Institutional Reporting and Business Intelligence Solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Integrate and analyze data from multiple institutional systems and external sources to support reporting and analytical initiatives.
- Develop and monitor key enrolment indicators, performance measures, and institutional metrics.
- Lead user acceptance testing and support the continuous enhancement of reporting and business intelligence tools.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and usability of institutional reporting solutions.
Support Executive Decision-Making and Institutional Planning
- Produce institutional reports and analyses for executive leadership, Senate, committees, faculties, and administrative units.
- Support strategic initiatives related to enrolment management, student success, scheduling optimization, space utilization, and academic planning.
- Evaluate programs, initiatives, and institutional practices through data-driven analysis and evidence-based assessment.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities that may impact enrolment, retention, and student outcomes.
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and executive summaries that communicate findings in a clear and meaningful way.
Advance Data Quality and Reporting Standards
- Identify and investigate data quality issues, inconsistencies, and reporting risks.
- Develop and maintain reporting methodologies, business rules, definitions, and documentation.
- Collaborate with system administrators, technical teams, and subject matter experts to improve institutional reporting capabilities.
- Support data governance, reporting modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote the consistent and effective use of institutional data across the university.
Engage and Collaborate with Campus Stakeholders
- Consult with senior leaders, faculties, administrative units, and committees to understand reporting and analytical needs.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to a variety of audiences, including executive and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide expert guidance on the interpretation and appropriate use of institutional data.
- Develop training materials and support stakeholders in understanding reports, dashboards, methodologies, and performance indicators.
- Foster collaborative relationships that support data-informed decision-making across the university.

Position Requirements
What You’ll Bring to this Position:
- Completion of a Master’s degree in a research related field with emphasis in statistics, data analytics, or business intelligence
- 3-5 years working as an analyst or with student systems in a university, college or post-secondary environment
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role:
- Demonstrated fluency in SQL and at least one statistical software tool (e.g., R, SAS).
- Experience working with student databases in a post-secondary environment is preferred
- Experience developing business intelligence solutions, dashboards, or institutional reporting is considered an asset. Must have a strong knowledge of the tools used in data analysis and be able to analyze vast amounts of data from multiple sources
- The successful candidate must possess the knowledge and skills of a Business Analyst that allows them to be able to liaison between end users across campus and the technical experts in Information Services
- Demonstrated knowledge of regression analysis, descriptive statistics, and probability theory
- Demonstrated capacity to work well with and direct both non-technical and highly technical individuals in an academic environment.

- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills and technical aptitude in a systems/database environment.
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to a high level of detail.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and assist others in doing the same.
- Direct experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Ability to understand and comply with University of Regina’s health and safety requirements and all safe work procedures and practices applicable to this position.
Physical Demands
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Work requires minimal physical effort and limited exposure to physical risk.
Pay Grade APT 5 Salary Range $71,745 - $96,825 Status Term Work Hours
Assigned hours as permitted by terms of the APT Contract.
