Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating DRYVANS. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. The Truck Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Duties

Operate trucks to transport goods to designated locations in a safe and timely manner.
Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary.
Ensure the secure transport of cargo by properly strapping down loads.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Drive various types of trucks, including those with manual transmissions, as required by the job.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.
Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
Experience driving in various weather conditions is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
