JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for managing the accounting and financial functions of the business and supporting the Director of Finance and Administration
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES NOT LIMITED TO:
◊ Lead and manage the accounting and financial reporting activities to produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group of companies.
◊ Prepare or coordinate the preparation of financial summaries, and other cost-benefit analyses and financial management reports
◊ Manage month-end closing processes, billing, invoicing, expenses, reimbursements, and
currency revaluation.
◊ Process scaling and management of financial operations, including but not limited to: credit cards, internal controls, inventory accounting, AP, AR etc.
◊ Manage tax filing including GST, PST, income tax for the group of companies
◊ Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, coordinating audits, providing necessary documentation,
◊ Assist Director of Finance and Administration in managing working capital for the group and anticipating cash flows to always maintain sufficient bank account balances.
◊ Oversee all aspects of Finance and Accounting functions, including hiring, managing, training, and leading team members.
◊ Support Director of Finance and Administration as necessary.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
◊ Strong and deep knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
◊ Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
◊ Experience with accounting software
◊ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
◊ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
◊ Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
◊ Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and able to work well within a team environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
◊ Experience: Proven experience as a Financial Controller, accounting manager, or similar role, 5+ years of experience.
◊ Education: Bachelor/post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
◊ CPA designation, or enrollment in CPA program
WORKING CONDITIONS:
◊ Mainly office work, mainly normal hours

WORK TIMINGS: Monday to Friday. 8:00am to 5:00pm (8 hours Shift)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
