Job Description

Wrapex Industrial Services Inc. is currently seeking Journeyman and Apprentice Insulators.

Responsibilities and Duties

Candidates must have the ability to apply insulation materials to heating and cooling systems, piping, pipelines, equipment, pressure vessels, and other structures to prevent or reduce the passage of heat, cold, sound, or fire.

Duties may include:

Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select appropriate insulation materials
Measure and cut insulation materials to required dimensions using hand and power tools
Apply and secure insulation using appropriate application and installation methods
Fit insulation around piping, equipment, obstructions, and other structures
Install vapour barriers and weatherproofing systems as required
Fabricate and install metal cladding as required
Remove and replace existing insulation as required
Work safely at heights and in confined spaces when required
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates must possess valid safety tickets as required for the worksite, which may include:

CSTS
WHMIS 2015
H2S Alive
Fall Protection
Confined Space
Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
Standard First Aid

Candidates must also:

Have a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Have their own required hand tools and CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots
Be able to work with a variety of industrial insulation materials
Be physically capable of performing the requirements of the position, including handling heavy materials and equipment
Be able to work in physically demanding environments
Be able to work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and in dusty or industrial environments
Be self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a crew
Work cooperatively with other teams and trades
Be dependable, punctual, and able to perform assigned work within project schedules
Follow established safety procedures and support a safety-focused work environment
Candidates may be required to successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing and comply with client site-access requirements

Registered apprenticeship status is considered an asset for Apprentice applicants.
