The opus program coordinator supports the establishment and delivery of entrepreneurship programming within the university’s startup incubator. This role focuses on coordinating program activities, supporting strategic initiatives, and contributing to the growth of entrepreneurial culture across the university. This position works collaboratively with program leadership and campus partners to develop, promote, and deliver incubator programs and events focused on turning research-backed ideas and inventions into global solutions. The coordinator plays an active role in outreach, stakeholder engagement, and community-building activities that connect founders with mentors, speakers, and external partners.
- Coordinates the administration, delivery, and ongoing operation of entrepreneurship programming offered through the incubator.
- Supports the collection, analysis, and reporting of program key metrics and performance indicators.
- Plans and conducts outreach activities to attract participants to incubator programs and events across the campus community.
- Develops program resources, including presentations, handbooks, toolkits, engagement and milestone tracking tools, and other key deliverables, in collaboration with leadership.
- Recruits presenters and speakers to deliver incubator programming and events.
- Assists unit leadership with the recruitment of mentors and coaches and coordinates their participation.
- Coordinates logistics for events, meetings, and program activities.
- Attends innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem events to build and strengthen relationships with campus community, entrepreneurs, and external stakeholders.
- Reviews internal processes and systems related to programming and identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Stays informed of emerging trends and leading practices to continuously improve incubator programming and experiential learning.
- Communicates and acts in a respectful and professional manner, collaborates effectively, abides by policy, and contributes to a positive and productive work and learning environment.
- Engages in continuous learning by participating in activities, training, and events related to Indigenous engagement, reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

- Minimum of three years of related experience in project coordination or program support, preferably within an entrepreneurship ecosystem, post-secondary, or similarly complex organization.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, and deliver experiential learning opportunities that are engaging and impactful.
- Knowledge of technological innovation processes and entrepreneurial strategy.
- Strong understanding of the challenges of starting and growing a business.
- Excellent professional, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills, including writing, editing, and public speaking.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Ability to travel occasionally within the province.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, Survey Monkey, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
