Full job description

Job Summary: MUST HAVE A VALID ONTARIO DRIVERS LISCENCE
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our Growing team at Hogan Chevrolet Buick GMC Limited in Scarborough, ON. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for performing general upkeep and maintenance tasks in and around our dealership. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry, where you'll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise and contribute to our success.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a hourly /skilled labor/contractor job with a competitive compensation package of $18 per hour. You will be paid biweekly and have access to our comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans.

Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including but not limited to: changing light bulbs, fixing doors and windows, hanging shelves and artwork, repairing minor electrical and plumbing issues, and other similar tasks.
Keep our dealership's facilities and equipment in excellent condition by conducting routine inspections, identifying potential problems, and addressing them in a timely and efficient manner.
Perform minor installations, such as shelving, cabinets, and equipment assembly.
Assist with set-up and break down for dealership events.
Respond promptly to work orders and service requests from various departments.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and vendors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

Requirements:

At least 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or handyman role.
Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills.
Ability to read and interpret instructions and blueprints.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
