We're looking for a Junior Salon Coordinator. As the Junior Salon Coordinator, you will play a key role in the daily operations of our salon while also helping out with our social media presence and creating engaging content. In this role you will be working closely with the Assistant Manager to assist in managing the salon's efficiency. This multifaceted position requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for the beauty industry.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage appointment scheduling, including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations & coordinating the client bookings weekly, monthly and yearly.
- Handle client and salon inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with excellent customer service.
- Process payments and maintain accurate client records.
- Manage inventory, regularly monitor stock levels and supplies and fulfill inventory orders.
- Oversee daily salon operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Coordinate with stylists and staff to maintain a harmonious work environment.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the salon (laundry, sweeping, wiping surfaces, mopping, cleaning in between clients and deep cleaning, etc..)
- Work closely with Assistant Manager to ensure the salon is running efficiently.
- Assist with salon marketing initiatives ie; assisting with email marketing and newsletters, promotions, managing social media accounts and creating engaging content.
- Assist with website and adding an online store.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in salon coordination or a similar role preferred.
- Attention to salon's cleanliness and ensuring it looks 100% at all times.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move around the salon constantly.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using social media management tools and basic photo/video editing software.
- Knowledge or experience in beauty and hair industry is an asset.
- High school diploma or higher
- 1 year experience in a customer facing role
- Canadian citizen or permanent residents ONLY
- Handling cash, payment terminals (credit and debit payments)
- Knowledge or experience in beauty and hair industry is an asset
Part-time positions are available for this role. Must be available afternoons and Saturdays.
