With strong and growing demand for Hydro Excavation Equipment we’re looking to expand our Team of highly skilled Welders.

Job Description:

In this position, you will be responsible for high-quality welding using GMAW, GTAW, carbon steel, stainless and aluminum structures. Scheller Metal Fabricators Ltd. is specializing in the fabrication of Vacuum Equipment; including Septic Trucks, Industrial Vacuum Trucks, and heavy-duty Hydrovac Trucks. This position requires a strong understanding of welding processes, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Job Duties:

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components to meet high-quality standards.
GMAW (Gas metal arc welding).
GTAW (Gas Tungsten arc welding).
Welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum structures.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to plan and execute work.
Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve welding techniques.
Operate welding equipment and tools efficiently and safely.

Skills and Qualification

Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
3-5 years of professional experience in Fitting and Welding.
Welding certification is an asset.
Professional knowledge of TIG & MIG welding, basic metal shop practices.
Duties include assemble and weld tanks, structural and misc.
Excellent communications skills and ability to express ideas and issues clearly to management and coworkers.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Work independently and within a team.
Maintain high-quality standards.
Ability to adapt to changes in workflow.
