Full job description

O'Hanlon Paving a proud member of The Fath Group, has been a key player in the Edmonton Road Construction industry for over 65 years. We pride ourselves in the quality of our finished projects, our strong safety culture, and our opportunities for employee development. We are looking for experienced Finish Grader Operators to work seasonally in a full-time capacity with the potential of becoming a year- round full-time position. The Finish Grader Operator will work on projects in various locations throughout Edmonton. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the following:

Safe operation of equipment such as finish graders and other base equipment;
Working with minimal supervision;
Performing daily safety and maintenance checks;
Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

You are required to possess a minimum 2 years of experience in operation of finish graders and related equipment, for example, the ability to finish grade within a 2 cm tolerance;
You are required to have extensive road building related heavy equipment operator experience;
You must possess knowledge of the safe operation of equipment and municipal road building industry;
You must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license with air or above with a clean drivers abstract;
High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions are required;
The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is highly desirable;
You are required to demonstrate a willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends;
Valid safety certifications are required.

Additional Information:

This has the potential to be a year-round position;
This position is eligible for over-time;
Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required;
Training will be provided for various activities;
We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 of continuous months of service with the company;
