Full job description

Nanuq Law has an immediate opening for a full time, in office Legal Assistant or Paralegal. This position is in-person only and is not suitable for remote work.

This position requires multitasking and managing competing demands of clients, lawyers and paralegals. The tasks include answering phones, interacting with clients, communicating with other professionals, maintaining and organizing files as well as drafting correspondence, pleadings, probate documents, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Representation Agreements and maintaining corporate records. The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is a must.

Graduation from Camosun College or another accredited Legal Assistant program is required.

Litigation experience and knowledge of the Supreme Court Civil Rules would be an asset.

Knowledge of esilaw or similar legal accounting software is a plus.
